Centring on an octagonal step-cut emerald weighing 8.88 carats, flanked on each side by a rectangular step-cut diamond weighing 3.08 and 3.38 carats respectively, mounted in platinum and 18 karat yellow gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to both Gübelin and AGL reports, the emerald is natural, of Colombian origin, with no indication of clarity enhancement. According to AGL, this emerald yields a Total Quality Index of Exceptional. The Jewelfolio from AGL highlighting the superior quality of this emerald: "A Colombian emerald possessing such a combination of attritubes as superior color, uncommon clarity and well-proprotoned cut, identifies this emerald as a gem of high rarity." Two emerald-cut diamonds, according to GIA reports, are matching E colour, VS1 and VS2 clarity respectively. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the emerald is of medium deep, saturation green colour, clean and lively to naked eyes. Upon 10x loupe, there are only a few natural inclusions, mainly to the side and not noticeable to naked eyes. Inclusions are very common to natural emeralds. Two diamonds have matching and nice face-up brilliance.

Further accompanied by GIA reports numbered 14440579 and 14440581, dated 25 and 27May 2005 respectively, stating that the 3.08 and 3.38 carat diamonds are E colour, VS2 and VS1 clarity respectively.
