Centring on a melo pearl measuring approximately 23.57 x 23.83mm, within a surround decorated by butterflies, leaves and scrolls of coloured sapphires, tsavorite garnets and brilliant-cut diamonds, the coloured sapphires and diamonds together weighing approximately 10.60 and 2.05 carats respectively, mounted in 18 karat white, pink, yellow and blackened gold, accompanied by an 18 karat white gold chain spectacle-set with oval sapphires of various hues, the coloured sapphires together weighing approximately 4.70 carats, length approximately 670mm.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the melo pearl is of intense yellowish orange colour, with noticeable flame pattern, round to naked eyes. Coloured sapphires are of various hues, including strong yellow to orangy-yellow, medium purplish pink to vivid purple pink, orangy-red and blue colours. Tsavorite garnets are of strong, grass green hue. All are clean to naked eyes and lively. Diamonds are about F to G colours, VS clarity.
Condition: The cage can be opened on the back to retrieve the melo pearl from pendant, very fine workmanship, in mint condition.
