Modelled as a whimsical bird, the body set with an inverted pear-shaped rubellite weighing approximately 3.30 carats, to textured gold feathers decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, accented by an emerald-set eye and crown set with a pear-shaped chrysoberyl, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, signed and numbered 11127.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the rubelite is of medium strong, reddish purple colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, there are some tiny inclusions mainly to the side, not noticeable. Cabochon emerald is of medium brilliant green colour, eye clean with surface abrasions under loupe check. Chrysoberyl at the top is of medium, brownish yellowish green colour, eye clean with a chip on girdle. Single-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 0.70 carat, are about H to I colours, mostly VS clarity. Signed Cartier Paris and numbered to the back.
Condition: Vintage karat gold mount, shows signs of wear and abrasions to the metal, otherwise in good condition.
