JADEITE 'GOURD', DIAMOND AND COLOURED DIAMOND PENDANT

The highly translucent jadeite carved as a 'gourd', of emerald green colour, decorated on the top by a carved monkey and lingzhi, surmounted by leaves set with brilliant-cut colourless, yellow and black diamonds, accompanied by a necklace composed of one hundred and ten graduated black nephrite beads, highlighted by rondelles, to a clasp set with brilliant-cut coloured diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold. Colour and Clarity: According to the jadeite certificate, the jadeite "gourd" is natural, type "A" jadeite. Please refer to the certificate for details. In our opinion, the jadeite "gourd" is highly translucent, of bright, intense green colour. Upon illumination, there are some white clouds, not noticeable in normal lighting. Yellow diamonds are of strong saturation, colourless diamonds are about H to I colours, overall of VS to SI clarity. Black diamonds are opaque and have strong surface lustre. The nephrite beads on necklace are semi-translucent to almost opaque, of black colour with a touch of very dark green under strong illumination. Condition: Karat gold and white gold mount, shows signs of wear and minor surface scratches, otherwise in very good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment.
