Rare and collectable!! The watch is in unused condition and remains in its original Patek Philippe plastic factory seal. In order to export this watch, the plastic seal will need to be cut open and the reptile strap will need to be removed. The following 3 lots (3793-3795) offer collectors a rare opportunity to acquire all three Patek Philippe limited edition Advanced Research annual calendar wristwatches.

Patek Philippe's Advanced Research team strive to improve the isochronism of mechanical watches employing cutting-edge materials in their pioneering annual calendar in-house movements. The Ref. 5450 released in 2008 in platinum, followed the Ref. 5250 in white gold released in 2005, and Ref. 5350 in pink gold released in 2006. The rarest, the Ref. 5250 (Lot 3795) was produced in a limited edition of only 100 pieces. The Ref. 5350 (Lot 3793) and Ref. 5450 (Lot 3794) were both produced in a series of 300 pieces.

With the first model, the Ref. 5250, the firm unveiled the Silinvar escape wheel, and the second model, the Ref. 5350, supplemented this innovation with a Spiromax balance spring. Ref. 5450 completed this evolution by the addition of the Silinvar lever, which transfers energy from the escape wheel to the balance wheel, resulting in the highly efficient Pulsomax escapement.

Originally known for its application to information technology, Silinvar is a semiconductor that is significantly lighter than the traditional steel, transmits energy more efficiently and can be shaped more
accurately, making it an ideal material for use in watchmaking.

So that the wearer can admire the complex and cutting-edge Silinvar elements of the movement, all three limited edition technological wonders feature a magnified aperture to the sapphire crystal display
back. To this end, the bridge work and wheel train were also altered slightly for increased visibility.
