springing from a blooming aster at the base, the slightly compressed globular body rising to an incurved mouth, flanked by a pair of reticulated double-lotus handles, the exterior detailed in low relief with peony blooms and buds borne on a leafy stem, the stone of a celadon-tinged white tone with a natural horizontal vein and brownish inclusions

Condition

There are some nicks and bruises, including a 0.2 cm chip to a petal of the chrysanthemum on the base. The censer has a horizontal natural vein with associated minor losses, which has probably been partially reinforced with glue.
