描述

the bird carved with its head craned back while tightly grasping a sprig of lotus flower in its beak, its webbed feet tucked under its body carved with well defined wings, the pale celadon stone with some white and light brown inclusions

Condition

There are some nibblings and bruises to the stone, including a 0.6 cm bruise to the wing. The lotus also has a 0.5 cm bruise which is possibly developed from the natural inclusions of the stone. There is a natural vein running around the duck's head and neck. The actual colour is less tinged with green than the catalogue illustration.
