Bowls of this type are impressive for their finely enamelled dense composition of leafy flowers. A closely related example was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 1st October 1991, lot 782, and again in these rooms, 10th April 2006, lot 1742; and a pair was sold in our London rooms, 19th June 1984, lot 366. See a slightly smaller bowl of this type in the Nanjing Museum, included in the exhibition Qing Imperial Porcelain of the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong Reigns, Art Gallery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, 1995, cat. no. 101; and another in the British Museum, London, illustrated in Hugh Moss, By Imperial Command, Hong Kong, 1976, pl. 6.
