the shallow circular dish modelled with a flat underside decorated with a stylised floral scroll, all supported on a tall dramatically splayed foot painted with a sinuous dragon in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl' above crashing waves against rocks, interrupted by a leaping carp upwards amidst scattered flames, the interior of the stem inscribed with a six-character reign mark

Condition
The dish is slightly warped. There are two vertical hairline cracks of about 3.5 cm and 3 cm (the latter one has been slightly restored) from the rim, and a horizontal hairline crack of approx. 12.7 cm around the base of cavetto. There is a 0.8 cm bruise on the rim to the glaze. The lower half is in very good condition.
