the stone of milky-white and translucent persimmon tone, deftly carved in the form of a furled lotus leaf with curled edges, issuing from one of the few upturned branches bearing two lotus blossoms amongst foliage, a small conch attached to the other side, flanked by a frog playfully clambering on the exterior and a fish swimming towards the stems, gilt-metal spoon, wood stand

Condition

There are some refilled chips to the rim and the interior (2.5 cm). One of the lotus petals, together with a section of a nearby leaf, has possibly been polished down. There are also some other chips and bruises, including a 0.4 cm nick to the tail of the fish.
