the exterior carved with a continuous scene of a mountainous riverscape with thatched cottages with the details further incised, one side carved with a lone fisherman sailing across the river in a sampan with a fishing rod while a scholar meditates below a pine tree in the distance, all below wispy cloud scrolls and towering mountains, the other side further carved with mountains and craggy rockwork, the underside centred with a slight circular depression containing a six-character apocryphal Jiajing mark in underglaze blue, all beneath a transparent glaze

Condition

The overall condition is very good with some stained surface scratches, burst air bubbles and occasional glaze pulls. There is also a 0.5 cm C-shaped firing crack to the base.
