the baluster body rising from a waisted foot below a broad shoulder and a short narrow flared mouth, finely carved on the sides with meandering peony scrolls bearing large blooms on a dense foliate ground, all between a chevron collar encircling the neck and an overlapping lappet border on the foot, thickly covered overall in a light celadon glaze

Condition

The mouthrim has some frittings and a 0.2 cm shallow chip. There are some firing and potting flaws, including a few firing cracks and burst air bubbles to the exterior (largest one measuring about 0.5 cm). The exterior also has a 1.5 cm iron spot. There are further glaze pulls and firing cracks to the base.
