A rare Meissen lobed dish
decorated in Imari style in underglaze-blue, enamels and gilding, with indianische Blumen and insects in the well, enclosed by radiating panels of indianische Blumen alternating with three different underglaze-blue and gilt panels, with further scattered chrysanthemums, the reverse with a continuous band of underglaze-blue scrolling foliage embellished in gilding and with iron-red flowers and leaves, crossed swords mark within a circle in underglaze-blue with two further concentric circles inside the footrim, incised Japanese Palace inventory number N=81-/ W. Some scattered flaking to gilt rim, minor chips to footrim.
