Brooke Lampley is Vice Chairman of the Fine Art Division, Sotheby’s. She works with top collectors of 20th Century art globally.

Prior to joining Sotheby’s in January 2018, Brooke served as Head of the Impressionist and Modern Art Department for Christie’s Americas—a role she assumed in 2012 after working as a Specialist in the department since 2005. Ms. Lampley was responsible for driving the team’s overall strategy in both auction and private sales, managing auction sales in excess of $1 billion annually, and leading a team of specialists devoted to business-getting on a global basis.

Recognized in both Crain's 40 Under 40 and Art + Auction's annual Power List, Brooke has also been featured as a tastemaker in various high-profile news publications, including Harvard MagazineElleGotham MagazineTown & Country and Marie Claire. As an expert on the art market, Brooke is a regular contributor to broadcast television shows including NBC’s The Today Show, FOX Business Network’s Stuart Varney & Co, and CNBC’s Million Dollar Minute, and has appeared on Bloomberg’s Taking Stock with Pimm Fox (TV), Bloomberg Surveillance (radio) and Masters in Business (podcast).

Prior to joining Christie's, Brooke worked in curatorial departments at The Fogg Art Museum in Cambridge, Massachusetts, The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and The National Gallery of Art, each in Washington, D.C.  She holds a Master of Arts degree in History of Art from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and History of Art from Harvard College.
