Description

Brozek was the foremost Polish mathematician of his time. His book deals with, among other things, arithmetic, finger numerals (differing from Bede and Pacioli), Napier’s bones, and also his chessboard abacus: "one of the few published references in the contemporary literature to this device" (Tomash & Williams).
