Description

Accompanied by a Cartier Certificate of Authenticity dated 7th of September 2011, confirming the present watch was made with its platinum bracelet in 1930.

The Tank collection is a tribute to the military tanks of World War I designed by Louis Cartier, who was fascinated by these machines. The shape of a Tank wristwatch is inspired by the shape of the tank when viewed from above: a square flanked by two shafts representing the body and tracks.

A similar Tank model is illustrated Barracca, J, Negretti G., Nencini, F., Le Temps de Cartier, p. 207.
