Executed on thin wove paper, not laid down, attached to the mount to the all four corners. The edges are deckled. There is 4cm repaired tear to the centre of the right edge and four smaller repaired tears along the left edge (the larger of which is approximately 3 cm long). There are a few small nicks and tears along the edges. There is some minor creasing thought out the composition consistent with age and handling. There are a few thin white lines predominately to the red pigment which appears to be by the hand of the artist and some scattered gold coloured flakes probably original. There is no evidence of retouching under UV light. This work is in good and stable condition.
