Description

Compare the short, crisp folds and elaborate drapery to a slightly later Virgin and Child, Northern Netherlandish, in Museum Catharijneconvent, Utrecht (inv. no. ABM bh280). Further comparison, in particular in relation to Saint Anne's headdress, can be made with an Anna Selbdritt in the same museum, inv. no. ABM bh339.

A Radiocarbon dating measurement report (ref. no. RCD-9049) prepared by J. Walker of RCD Lockinge, dated 29 January 2018, states that the wood dates between AD 1315 and 1418 (95% confidence interval).
