Inspection of the former, the scene before a classical building, under ultraviolet light reveals very minor scattered retouchings in the sky and building, and a retouched surface scratch in the skirt of the lady in blue seen from behind at the left.
Inspection under ultraviolet light of the latter scene with backgammon players, reveals almost no intervention at all.
The pictures are offered in matching elaborately carved gilt wood frames in good condition, with only one or two chips and losses.
