The canvas is lined, the paint surface is dirty and the varnish is discoloured. There are visible retouchings scattered in the wooden ceiling and vaulting through the centre of the painting, as well as in the nave walls, including a cross-shape, possibly a former tear, measuring 3 x 3 cm. Further smaller retouchings are visible in the columns, and two slightly larger areas are found at the base of the column lower left, 1 x 3 cm. each. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms these, but reveals no further intervention. In overall good condition which would improve greatly with cleaning. Offered in a plain stained wood frame with gold fillet with some small losses.
