Description

The photographs show views of Deir el Bahri, the Valley of the Kings, the excavations, antiquities and objects, Lord Canarvon, Howard Carter, Mr Callendar, Sir Herbert and Lady Samuel, Lord and Lady Allenby, James. R. Ogden, and images around Tutankhamen's tomb. This album may be connected with Harold Moyne, the Times newspaper's head messenger, who was sent with Times reporter Arthur Merton and photographer Herbert Warhurst to Luxor to cover Howard Carter's excavations.
