Description

A compilation of Venetian accounts by Giosafat Barbaro (travels to the Don and to Persia), Ambrogio Contarini (embassy to Uzun-Hassan), Luigi di Giovanni (voyages to Calcutta), Benedetto Ramberti (on the Turks), and an account of Suleiman Baffa's retaking of Diu in India from the Portuguese in 1538. It was reprinted in 1545.

Antonio Manuzio (1511-1559) was the brother of Paolo Manuzio; he was exiled from Venice twice and printed a handful of books in Bologna under his own name in 1556-1557.
