“I don’t know why people are so keen to put the details of their private life in the public: they forget that invisibility is a superpower” (Banksy cited in: Exh. Cat., Amsterdam, Modern Contemporary Museum, Laugh Now, 2019, p. 135).
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and lighter and the background tends more towards true white in the original.
This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals a few faint rub marks and handling marks to the extreme edges and corner tips and a tiny media accretion towards the lower left corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra violet light.
