The present work is a study for Norman Rockwell's December 7, 1946 cover for The Saturday Evening Post. His youngest son, Peter, was ten years old when he modeled for this work.

This work will be accompanied by a letter from Norman Rockwell to D.S. MacBride and a copy of the original Post cover.
