Description

The Campana brothers Humberto and Fernando embed a variety of rough, poor and more exclusive materials into their designs whilst referencing and also reinterpreting their Brazilian roots. In an interplay of strong textures, colours and often bold compositions, their creative world produces cultural collisions of South American folklore, baroque, kitsch or even minimalism.

This multi-coloured rolled fabric seat suggestive of a sushi tray is framed on a steel structure. Forming an exercise on material re-use in the making of upholstery, the chair bears a witty and colourful character that re-interprets the concept of seating oneself in relation to our pre-conceived ideas of comfort.
