PROPERTY OF THE FAMILY OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER
Introduced in 1963 in America and in 1964 in Europe, the watch was available until 1969.
This watch is powered by the calibre 722-1 movement which was used during the last period of the models production (1967-1969). The present lot, is fitted with a second series bezel, calibrated to 300 units. Furthermore, it comes with other original features such as the twinlock crown, the 7835 bracelet and rare 71N end links. The tri-colour Paul Newman dial is very attractive with its very well defined sunken engine turned subsidiary dials, clear white Rolex Cosmograph signature and the deep red Daytona inscription, perfectly complemented by the red graduations of the outer track.
Retained by the original owners family until today, this "6239 Paul Newman" will be a superb addition to any enthusiast's collection.
