Description

The monogram is that of Rebecca Trenchard (b. 1775) , who married James Kinsey (b. 1773), an attorney in Philadelphia.

The 1983 Sotheby's sale of this teapot also included a slightly smaller matching teapot (lot 122) and sugar bowl (lot 123), both by Richardson, circa 1790 and identically engraved.
