Description

George Maciunas was a founding member of the avant-garde Fluxus movement of which Yoko Ono was also an integral figure. In a 1963 manifesto, Maciunas defined some of the tenants of that movement, calling upon readers to: "...purge the world of bourgeois sickness, ‘intellectual’, professional & commercialized culture ... PROMOTE A REVOLUTIONARY FLOOD AND TIDE IN ART, ... promote NON ART REALITY to be grasped by all peoples, not only critics, dilettantes and professionals ... FUSE the cadres of cultural, social & political revolutionaries into united front & action."

"U.S.A. surpasses All The Genocide Records!" was an unsigned product of Implosions Inc., a commercial arm of the Fluxus movement.
