An Egyptian Wood Mummy Mask

19th/20th Dynasty, 1305-1080 B.C.

From an inner coffin, carved in a fine-grained hardwood, with finely carved outlined lips, straight nose, and eyes formerly detailed with paint, the back with two fragmentary tenons for attachment.


Height 4 13/16 in. 12.2 cm.
