A co-founder of Orphism, or as he preferred to call it, ‘pure painting,’ Robert Delaunay led the way for abstract art by using bright hues and primary colours in a movement rooted in cubism. Kunsthaus Zürich will present a comprehensive overview of his oeuvre, honing in on the themes of Paris, early aviation, sport, and the role of colour in painting at the dawn of the modern era.
