As part of our Americana Week, we are honored to feature the Collections of Joe Kind Jr. and Joe Kindig III, a pair of antique dealers whose impeccable tastes and passions for preservation defined their contribution to Americana. Erik Gronning, head of Sotheby’s Americana department, sheds a concentrated light on some of the furniture and artworks amassed by the Kindigs, which offer a profound insight into over a century of American history.
The Kindig Collection will take place at Sotheby’s New York at 21 January.
