On 19 November, the 163rd Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction will be held in Beaune, the most eagerly awaited event for wine lovers the around the world. This annual sale is the world's largest charity wine sale, and a true testament to Burgundy's centuries-old winemaking tradition.
The Hospices de Beaune wine sale raises substantial funds every year. As well as maintaining and preserving the heritage of the Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune and the 60-hectare wine estate, these funds help to modernise the equipment and hospital buildings of the Hospices Civils de Beaune. The 2022 auction was a great success, setting numerous records and raising 29.8 million euros (hammer price) for the hospital.
