The Modern Evening Auction, presented in partnership with Samsung, will present works that capture daring innovations from artists active throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Highlighting the innovations of the avant-garde, the Modern Evening Auction showcases masterworks by the greatest artists of the modern era that define art history as we know it today. Tracing historic through lines and cross-continental dialogues between artists working across Impressionism, Surrealism, Cubism, and Abstract Expressionism, the Modern sale will spotlight critical developments of the last 100 years.
The Modern Evening Auction, including works by Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Balthus, Mark Rothko, and Philip Guston will take place on November 13th, 2023.
