To mark 50 ground-breaking years in Asia, Sotheby’s is honoured to present a landmark celebratory evening of sales offering artworks that capture the multifaceted, creative spirit of artists working around the world during the 20th century to present day, encompassing the very best of Modern and Contemporary art. Leading the Modern Art Evening Auction, and in commemoration of 50 years after the artist’s passing, will be Pablo Picasso’s Femme dans un fauteuil. Other highlights include Joan Miró’s Sans titre painting from 1947, Zao Wou-Ki’s 25.03.85, Vietnamese modern master Le Pho’s La famille dans le jardin. Meanwhile contemporary art will be headlined by Yoshitomo Nara’s 2012 masterwork, In the Milky Lake, alongside a singular work by Pop master and 20th century icon Roy Lichtenstein, and more.
