Between the 1960s and 1970s, the golden age of African & Oceanic art collecting in New York, Faith-Dorian and Martin Wright developed what would become one of the most enduring and important collections in the world. Featuring 50 major works from the Northwest Coast of North America, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Pacific Islands, and Australia, Sotheby's is pleased to present Sculpture from the Collection of Martin and Faith-Dorian Wright. The collection will be exhibited 7-13 September in New York. Bidding begins 7 September.
