What is the best place in Miami to enjoy a drink with friends? Anywhere outdoors, especially on a breezy, balmy evening. Those were the conditions during cocktail hour on 29 November when Creative Time and Sotheby’s welcomed a group of artists, curators and museum patrons for a reception in the Meditation Garden at The Standard Hotel. Lobster rolls and mini tacos fortified the crowd, which included Creative Time director Katie Hollander and artist Duke Riley, whose unforgettable Fly by Night performance piece (for which thousands of pigeons were released over the East River) was presented by the organization this past spring.
