The upcoming English Literature, History, Children's Books & Illustrations sale in London on 15 December includes a collection of autobiographical drawings by some of Britain's leading cultural figures. Sir Quentin Blake's gallery, House of Illustration, invited artists, designers, actors and musicians to take part in a modern twist on a Victorian parlour game, in which participants must draw their eight favourite things from a list including food, pastime, place and posession. The resulting artworks each called'What Are You Like?' are a fascinating insight in to the most creative minds in Britain. Paul Smith, Brian Eno, Eric Clapton and Mary McCartney have illustrated some of their surprising habits, obsessions and influences – all rendered in their own hand
