More than 100 guests gathered at Sotheby’s in Milan on 8 March for the launch of photographer Maurizio Galimberti’s new book Paris Atelier. The book tells the story of 20 years in his career as a photographer. In Paris he didn’t merely portray the scene, but life itself, composing the tiles of an articulate art project, completely unbridled by technical or other limitations. The 80’s were a turning point, when he decided to start working mostly with the Mosaic technique, which began with a long period research on artistic avant-gardes. As well as finding out more about the book, guests at the event, who included the chef Davide Oldani, had the opportunity to view highlights in a photography exhibition.
