On 4 February, more than 700 food and art connoisseurs united at Sotheby’s for Our Town’s Art of Food, presented by NewYork-Presbyterian. In its second year, Art of Food presented over 20 Upper East Side hotspots that developed dishes inspired by art from Sotheby’s Contemporary Curated sale on 2 March. “From Pop art soup cans to Impressionist and Renaissance fruit still lifes, food can never seem to evade the visual reality of artists,” said Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, star of Food Network’s Chopped, The Kitchen and Cooks vs. Cons.
