Ahead of Sotheby’s inaugural auction of Modern and Contemporary African Art in London on 16 May, the team welcomed guests to a cocktail event in Lagos. Sotheby’s Sharon Obudobi and Hannah O’Leary chatted with guests at the ALARA concept store, alongside the store’s founder Reni Folawiyo. A guestlist that included collectors, artists, musicians and film producers heard more about the upcoming sale while sipping on Martell cognac and Perrier Jouet champagne.
