The evening of 7 November, Sotheby’s president and CEO Tad Smith, Gary Metzler, head of Sotheby’s Chicago office and Helyn Goldenberg, president of the Arts Club of Chicago hosted a gathering in celebration of the Club’s 100th anniversary. Guests enjoyed cocktails in the Drawing Room, the newly opened members-only space that features sleek furnishings and an Italian marble-clad bar, followed by a four-course dinner in the formal dining room upstairs. The evening’s speakers included experts Liz Sterling and Courtney Kremers, who discussed highlights from Sotheby’s upcoming sales of American and contemporary art.
