On 12 November, the directors of Sotheby’s Contemporary Art department hosted a cocktail reception and dinner in our tenth-floor galleries, where guests could view some of the season’s standout works, including pieces from The History of Now: The Collection of David Teiger. After a meal prepared by The Beatrice Inn executive chef Angie Mar, which featured unique flavor combinations like truffle, cherry and lychee, Brooklyn-based songwriter Shaina Taub performed. Taub is currently writing lyrics for the upcoming Broadway adaption of The Devil Wears Prada, with music by Sir Elton John. Click ahead for images from the evening.
