1958 Porsche 356 A Speedster by Reutter. Estimate $300,000–350,000.

One of the most recognizable shapes in Porsche lineage is the 356 A Speedster. This particular example set for the Porsche Experience Center Atlanta is from the final year of production and is finished in the very rare, original Fjord Green. 1960s

1968 Porsche 911 'Sportomatic' Coupe. Estimate $225,000–275,000.

The 1960s saw the introduction of Porsche’s most iconic model, the 911. This 1968 911 Sportomatic is an exceptionally original example with only 27,726 miles from new. The Sportomatic transmission was an expensive option in period at $2,380, and allowed the driver to shift gears without a clutch pedal.

1970s

1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Prototype. Estimate $1,250,000–1,500,000.

For Porsche collectors and enthusiasts, 1973 is a hallmark year for the marque, as it launched the most exciting and iconic dual-purpose 911 of all time: the 911 Carrera RS. By adding power and removing weight, Porsche perfected the 911 formula, creating a car that would impress drivers on the road, but also consistently win races. This example is one of just four early prototypes built, tested, and refined by Porsche in order to reach this exacting formula. Pictured in early marketing literature for the model and equipped with numerous unique features, this is unquestionably one of the most significant examples in existence.

1980s

1985 Porsche 959 Paris-Dakar. Estimate $3,000,000–3,400,000.

The very first example ever offered at auction, and one of just three built to contest the 1985 Paris-Dakar Rally as a factory-supported entry, this car would serve as a 959-development prototype, representing Porsche in the most grueling rally of all time. Chassis no. 010015 was piloted by three-time Paris-Dakar winner René Metge, and is one of seven developmental cars, four of which are retained by Porsche. A class winner at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance and Quail Motorsports Gathering, as well as having been displayed at the Royal Automobile Club in London, the 959 Paris-Dakar remains an important and authentic cornerstone of a Group B legend.

1990s

1991 Porsche 911 Turbo. Estimate $225,000–275,000.

The Type 964 generation 911 that Porsche debuted in 1989 boasted considerable functional and comfort upgrades. In 1990, the 911 Turbo was revived for the new generation, and it was a force to be reckoned with. Its beefy haunches give it a road presence unlike any 911 before, and this particular example was special-ordered by an exceptionally discerning original owner, finished in rare paint-to-sample Meteor Gray over special Matador Red leather upholstery and with a staggering $20,621 in optional extras including factory-installed rosewood trim on its dashboard. Presenting in nearly as-new condition, the 911 Turbo is offered with its original tools, books, manuals, and service records.

2000s

2008 Porsche 911 GT2. Estimate $260,000–300,000.

The Type 997 generation 911 was far more up to date inside and out than its predecessor. The 997 GT2 pushed the model’s stylistic presence and handling limits even further, and, at the time, was the fastest street-legal 911 ever made. It is equipped with the Porsche 3.6-liter flat-six engine with twin variable geometry turbochargers for a total of 530 hp and 505 foot-pounds of torque shuttled to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The 997 GT2 was the first Porsche with launch control, and its carbon ceramic disc brakes brought it to a halt—quickly, and reliably on track. Numerous cosmetic upgrades, including a rear wing with functional air inlets and a downforce-enhancing body kit helped cope with the extra power. The example on offer is one of just 194 imported to the U.S. and features more than $15,000 in luxurious Porsche Exclusive options.

2018 Porsche 911 Turbo Classic Series "Project Gold". Estimate Available Upon Request (Offered Without Reserve).

Project Gold is the final air-cooled 911 Turbo, built 20 years after the end of 993 production. This incredible undertaking began at the Porsche factory one and a half years ago with an existing genuine type 993 body shell. The experts at Porsche Classic were able to rely on a selection of over 6,500 parts, assembling this “new” 993 Turbo S at the Porsche Classic restoration workshop near Stuttgart. An exciting car and with a worthy cause—proceeds from the sale of Project Gold will benefit the Ferry Porsche foundation.
