S otheby’s Paris presents the contents of the storied ‘hôtel particulier’ of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani, one of the most distinctive collectors of his generation.
Located in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, overlooking the Eiffel Tower, the residence stands as one of the most remarkable private interiors assembled in Paris in recent decades. An extraordinary project where architecture, decoration and collecting coalesced into a singular domestic universe, the interiors were conceived room by room, object by object, under the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad who is renowned for his exacting eye and a deeply personal vision of beauty, in close collaboration with legendary decorator Alberto Pinto.
A series of auctions will present more than 1,400 works spanning old masters, decorative arts, silver, antiques, furniture, paintings and design, conveying a richly layered dialogue between history, art and collecting.
Sotheby’s Paris will bring these interiors to both its historic buildings at 83 and 76 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, creating a series of immersive exhibitions ahead of the auctions which will take place in November 2026.
