Julianne Moore is an Academy Award and Emmy winning actor, and the first American woman to be awarded top acting prizes at the Cannes, Berlin, and Venice film festivals. Julianne also is a NY-Times bestselling author, for her children’s book series Freckleface Strawberry. She is on the Advisory Council of The Children's Health Fund, a supporter of the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, and in 2015, became founding chair of the Everytown for Gun Safety Creative Council, a creative community established to help amplify the movement to end gun violence in America. Julianne has most recently starred in Gloria Bell (2019), After The Wedding (2019) and The Glorias (2020). Dakin Hart is Senior Curator at The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum, where he oversees the Museum’s exhibitions, collections, catalogue raisonné, archives, and public programming, and has the daily good fortune of collaborating with Isamu Noguchi in absentia.

Glenn Adamson is a curator, writer and historian based in New York. He has previously been Director of the Museum of Arts and Design; Head of Research at the V&A; and Curator at the Chipstone Foundation in Milwaukee. Adamson’s publications include Thinking Through Craft (2007); The Craft Reader (2010); Postmodernism: Style and Subversion (2011, co-edited with Jane Pavitt); The Invention of Craft (2013); Art in the Making (2016, co-authored with Julia Bryan-Wilson; and Fewer Better Things: The Hidden Wisdom of Objects (2018). His newest book is Craft: An American History, published by Bloomsbury, and he is co-host of the online interview series Design in Dialogue.

Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand is the son of Robert Mitterrand, the elder brother of François Mitterrand, and Edith Cahier.

In 1964, François Dalle, President of L’Oréal at the time, brought him into the company. In 1973 at the age of 32, he reached the position of Director of L’Oréal’s International Publicity. In 1975, he was invited to join the Artcurial Society created by Guy Landon (L’Oréal’s vice-president) that was aimed at promoting artistic creation through editioned pieces, which were designed by some of the best contemporary artists such as Arman, Matta, Sonia Delaunay, de Chirico, Man Ray, Takis, Niki de Saint Phalle, Lalanne, etc. For about a decade, he published thousands of art pieces sold successfully to a broad public of international experts.

In 1988, he started his first art gallery in the 6^th arrondissement of Paris, which moved in 2003 to rue du Temple where it resides to this day.

At first, JGM. Galerie (Galerie Mitterrand since 2014) focused primarily on sculpture and regularly exhibited Niki de Saint Phalle, Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne, Takis, Tinguely, artists of the New Realism etc. After which the gallery took on American artists such as Tom Wesselmann, Tony Oursler, Allan McCollum, Keith Sonnier and then Peter Kogler, Edi Hila, Carlos Cruz-Diez, etc.

In 1995, the Foreign Affairs Minister asked him to curate a travelling exhibition of Niki de Saint Phalle in the most important South American Museums. This experience led him to being asked to organize many exhibitions of historical artists in cities and institutions such as the city of Luxembourg, the city of Paris which commissioned him an extraordinary exhibition of Lalanne in the Park of Bagatelle, or the city of Shanghai and the World Expo Committee, for which he organized a contemporary sculpture exhibition.

In 2014, Mitterrand and his son Edward, head of the contemporary art consultancy Mitterrand+Cramer since 2000, dreamed of creating an outdoor sculpture exhibition space. One year later, the Domaine du Muy opened with an art trail of some thirty works by contemporary artists from a host of different generations, movements, and schools of practice.

Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand is the administrator of Niki de Saint Phalle’s Foundation Le Jardin des Tarots in Capalbio (Italy) as well as Fondation Marta Pan (France). He is a member of the General Assembly of Jean Tinguely’s Cyclop in Milly-la-Forêt (France). He was decorated Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur by the president Jacques Chirac in 1998 and is Officier des Arts et Lettres since 2016.

The 20th Century Design department welcomed the design expert Florent Jeanniard in June 2011. He studied art history in France and first specialised in modern and contemporary paintings as a private dealer. Then, he worked progressively in the 20th century furniture market. He is passionate about furniture made from the 1930s to the 1970s and has a particular interest in French design from the 1950s until the 1970s. A former private dealer based in Paris, Florent Jeanniard has researched a number of notable artists and designers from the 1970s such as Maria Pergay, François See, Guy de Rougemont, Philippe Hiquily Claude and François Xavier Lalanne.
