Sotheby’s is pleased to announce the Paris Art Contemporain Day & Evening sales on 24 June.
The Art Contemporain Day sale will bring together remarkable works by some of the most celebrated artists of the past 80 years. Highlights of the sale include important works by Jean Fautrier, Asger Jorn, Manolo Valdes and Victor Vasarely as well as an exceptional ensemble of historical New realists’ works coming from a private European collection.
The Art Contemporain Evening sale will be an elevated auction anchored by a museum quality selection of blue-chip Post-War and Contemporary Art. Featuring examples by the greatest masters of the second half of the 20th century, the auction offers a rare opportunity to acquire historical works such as a 1957 Soulages masterpiece, 3 exceptional works by Zao Wou-Ki and a colourful Hourloupe by Dubuffet from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.
