The exceptional original plate Blake et Mortimer by E.P. Jacobs, which presented magnificent crayon sketches and various notes by the artist, achieved the highest price of the sale, €105,000. The sale also featured important works by Uderzo, Herriman, McCay, Jacobs and Manara. The auction comprised nearly 260 lots, all original artworks, from the greatest European and American authors of the genre such as Pratt, Jacobs, Jim Lee and Franquin. Our 2015 Comic Art auction in Paris brought in €3.8 million and was led by an original Tintin drawing by Hergé which sold for €453,000.
