He began designing lettering and promotional pieces for New York leather merchants Fleming Joffe in 1958, including awning designs, color promotions, and conceptual sketches. Fleming Joffe were known for their use of dyed reptile skins; this is a color chart, displaying samples of available leathers in 22 colors and 13 varieties of materials and treatments, with the names lettered by Warhol in his characteristic scrawling interpretation of a modern copperplate in imitation of his mother’s handwriting, seen in 25 Cats Named Sam (1954), in his advertising work of the 1950s, and The Wonderful World of Fleming Joffe (1960). The color names include Naked Pink, Filly Brown, Mexicali Rose, Sailor Boy, No Beige, and others. The varieties of material and processes, with names equally whimsical, include Sweet Kid, Cobra, Shetland Vealer, Makassar, Shetland Kid Suede, Calcutta, Smoothie Kid, Dream Calf, Alligator Lizard, Dragon Lizard, O.U. Kid, and Geometries. The last named variety refers the user to two larger panels with textured samples outside the grid, Sphinx Kid and Disco Kid. A photograph of the Fleming Joffe showroom window from Summer 1965 includes a color chart with a slightly different configuration of names and samples that omits the large Geometries.

A flyer announcing two screenings of Andy Warhol's film Chelsea Girls.<ul><li>Produced for the occasion of Chelsea Girls at Filmmakers' Cinemateque on October 19th and 25th, 1966, in New York City. </li><li>This just a month after the film's premiere at the same venue.</li><li>Offset printed on paper.</li></ul> Shot at the Chelsea Hotel, featuring Warhol superstars and New York luminaries with a soundtrack by the Velvet Underground, Chelsea Girls is emblematic of the New York underground and the avant-garde art scene at the time. At nearly three hours long, the film is presented in split-screen with one side in black and white and one in color, representing the mundane activities captured in color versus the darker, sexual story told in black and white.

Inspired by Flower Fairies of Autumn by Cicely Mary Barker from 1926, its title is taken from a song sung by Gay Icon Beatrice Lillie "There are Faires in the Bottom of Our Garden." "According to Charles Lisanby, Warhol's close friend at the time, In the Bottom of My Garden came about when Warhol was influenced by books he had seen in Amsterdam, the last stop on the two men's world tour. This is also the sole basis on which to date the book. Lisanby mentioned by name the artist Grandville, whose engravings Warhol had already used for Love Is a Pink Cake and from whom Warhol now took ideas for flora and fauna. He adapted some putti from Jack Stella. To these inspirations one can add the famous Dance of Cupids (after Raphael) by Marcantonio Raimondi, from which Warhol borrowed the round dance of the putti. It is tempting to suppose that he found a book on putti containing all of these examples during his travels in Europe. The illustrations do not follow a storyline, and moreover the copies (that still exist) differ in sequencing. The blotted-line drawings focus on outlines and omit any detailing. Their comic effect, however, does not rely on the use of watercolors, which were applied (unevenly) to some pages of the book."
