A rare vintage film poster of the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from the first Belgian release in 1938.<ul><li>Walt Disney Pictures.</li><li>Unfolded and linen backed.</li><li>Framed in obeche wood, card mount and UV plexiglass.</li></ul> This poster was used for the Belgian release of the film in 1938. A year later when World War II started, posters in Belgium were printed much smaller owing to paper shortages. Even when the war ended, this larger format was never used again. It is exceptionally rare as this is only the second example of this poster to have surfaced in over 20 years.

This magical poster depicts many of the characters from Disney's Silly Symphony short cartoons, including several images of Mickey and Mini, Donald Duck, Goofy, Three Little Pigs, Wynken, Blynken, and Nod, together with Max Hare. In the 1930s it was usual for French cinemas to allocate a certain time for their features. This would enable them to choose a number of short films to be shown before the main feature. This is a stock poster, which enabled the individual cinemas to add their own text in the blank box in the middle of the piece to advertise wh﻿at would be shown. In the case of this particular poster the program was forty minutes with Mickey, color animation - how to make animated drawings, Donald's Nephew, The Good and the Bad and Pretty Little Elves.
