In 2017, KAWS worked with Jordan Brand to produce four Swooshless Air Jordan 1 Lows, each designed to match his daily uniforms. “I’ve worn and killed many pairs of them over the years (and still have many left) and they were never intended or available for sale,” KAWS stated on Instagram. This pair features a seamless upper in ultra-tumbled leather with an elephant print-like texture across the model. Monochromatic from head to toe, the sneakers are accented with KAWS’ signature “XX” logo on the heel and his artwork printed on the insole. The famed, influential graffiti artist Josh "Stash" Franklin collaborated with Nike to create what is considered to be among the most significant AF1 designs of the "sneakerhead" era.
